I have diced onions in my freezer too, along with the peppers. You're right, perfect for fajitas, soups, chili, etc!
it's a perfectly enchanting door. the house i grew up in until i was five had a front door just like that. i don't have memories of it specifically, but i have seen many photos of it over the years, and always loved it! {although, i have to say, i'm surprised that i have a fondness for it, as my twin sister slammed it closed on my thumb and i had to go to the emergency room to have the tip of my thumb sewn on when i was just four.}

just wanted to stop and say thank you for your absolutely thoughtful and uplifting comment. one comment like yours can undo a thousand negative comments like the one i received earlier today. thank God, i have not received a thousand... just one... but you know what i mean.
see? it's people like you that make blogging worth it. there are people who get that. and it makes me say, "oh, well" to those that don't. it's just not worth giving them any more time than i already have. but i still had to get that all out! i felt so relieved after i did.
